There are three NHAs in the PNW & AK region, all with scenic mountain and coastal views.

The Kenai Mountains – Turnagain Arm NHA in Alaska covers most of the Kenai Peninsula including the towns around Kenai Fjords National Park.

The Maritime Washington NHA includes almost all the coastal areas of Washington State, from the San Juan Islands and Ebey’s Landing to Seattle and around the Olympic Peninsula down the Pacific coast.

I drove the length of the Mountains to Sound Greenway NHA when traveling from Hanford Reach to Seattle recently, and there are many bijou historic spots and hiking areas along the way through Snoqualmie Pass.
