I hate contributing to the climate crisis, so I’m seeing as many parks as I can in zero emission vehicles, a long range Tesla 3, a folding e-bike and a folding kayak. (What about charging and costs?) Our world still has some magically beautiful places, but we’re killing life with carbon pollution. We need to switch to electric vehicles, so we can enjoy life without ruining nature.

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts.
Mark Twain
Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”

Ned,
I just read your 5/6 post at Daily Kos. Thanks for your comments and perspective. They mirror my views, as well.

On your web page https://zct.life/2022/03/, where you say “being in an International Bioshpere”, how sure are you that you didn’t intend to write “Biosphere”?
Thanks! Typo fixed:
Great site and concept. If you get around to EVing to Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, on the southern coast of Lake Superior, try going in deep winter. Yes, spring and fall are lovely, but winter can be spectacular, at least if climate change doesn’t prevent the big lake from freezing over solid along its shores. Fully frozen, you will be able to tour the island ice caves, which are spectacular cathedrals of ice stalactites. In summer there is no ice but if the water levels on lake are reasonable you can tour the caves by canoe or kayak. But in the winter, you can drive from the mainland to near the cave mouths along an a temporary, marked, official highway over the frozen lake surface. Ice-truckers! Breathtaking, spiritually and, if the winds are stiff and you take deep gulps of air, literally. All regards, Ron Legro
Thanks! I’m looking forward to visiting!
